Disability not Invisbility
NUS Scotland Disabled Students’ Campaign wants to make all students aware of the diversity of disabled students on campus. Many disabilities are not immediately visible, and could include a wide variety of experiences or symptoms. From learning difficulties to visual or hearing impairments to chronic pain, there are so many reasons a student may need more support to enable them to get the same access to education. Our Disability Not Invisibility campaign is highlighting the fact that a lack of understanding of the range of disabilities can impact negatively on disabled students. We’ve produced a poster that can be used at your campus facilities to raise awareness. We’ll also be sharing your stories, so please get in touch to share your experiences.
